Privacy Policy for IHM Mobile Applications
Instituto Hidrográfico de la Marina (IHM) mobile applications are non-commercial mobile applications.
This page is used to inform visitors about our policies regarding the collection, use and disclosure of personal information should anyone choose to use our mobile aplications.
The purpose of the collection and automated processing of personal data is the management, provision, extension and improvement of the services requested at any given time by the user and the appropriate attention, response and follow-up of queries raised by users.
In any case, you may exercise your rights of opposition, access, rectification and cancellation within the scope recognised by Reglamento de Protección de las Personas Físicas UE(2016-679) de 27 de abril de 2016, to the data controller, IHM, by writing to Instituto Hidrográfico de la Marina at the address Plaza de SanSeveriano, s/n, Cádiz, if your rights have been infringed. The user shall be responsible, in all cases, for the veracity of the provided data. IHM reserve the right to exclude from the registered services any user who has provided false data, without prejudice to any legal action that may be appropriate.
If the user is underage, the IIHM advise that they consult with their parents or legal guardians as to whether or not it is appropriate to browse the content of our mobile applications, and that they are previously advised of the consequences of providing their personal data, in accordance with the rules set out in this privacy policy.
If you choose to use our mobile applications, then you consent to the collection and use of information in connection with this policy.
If you do not agree to the terms of this policy, do not access or use IHM mobile applications.
COLLECTION AND USE OF INFORMATION
In our mobile applications you can choose to create content. This includes creating a point of interest and adding a WMS.
Our mobile applications collect location data to enable the recording function of your ride, even when the app is closed or not in use. The app will only access location data in the background when you explicitly enable real timenavigation. At no other time will it access location data in the background. The app will ask you, the first time you activate GPS, for permission to always access that sensor.
This data is stored on your device, it is not shared with anyone.
The content you create contains location data.
Your device requests your consent before any mobile application uses location for the first time, and you can withdraw that consent at any time through your device settings.
IHM mobile applications use a variety of services embedded in the device, and those services may have access to personal data, covered by the device’s own Privacy Policy.
When accessing some maps and services, the service provider will know the IP address and other details of the browser or that these maps are being accessed from IHM mobile applications, but nothing that matches you personally.

We value your trust in providing us with your Personal Information. But please remember that no method of transmission over the Internet or method of electronic transmission or storage is 100% secure and reliable, and we cannot guarantee its absolute security.

The use of our mobile applications may contain links to other sites. If you click on a third party link, you will be directed to that site. These external sites are not operated by us. Therefore, we strongly encourage you to review the privacy policy of these websites. We do not control or assume any responsibility for the content, privacy policies or practices of third party sites or services.
CHANGES IN THIS PRIVACY POLICY
IHM reserves the right to modify this Privacy Policy in order to adapt it to new legislation, case law or the interpretation of Agencia Española de Protección de Datos. In this case, IHM will announce such changes, clearly indicating the modifications made with due notice, and requesting, if necessary, your acceptance of such changes.
